135149Photo #135149Southleigh Rd between Green Pond Corner and eastleigh Rd is a narrow road with narrow footpaths. Their is a school near the Warblington train crossing point. Traffic travels very fast as it has come off of the A27, heavy vehicles over 7.5 ton speeding along with thousands of cars daily. It's rarely policed, council won't do anything as it's an emergency services route and the council contact I spoke to in Havant didn't want speed ramps as they give her back ache. The road needs chicane's with a seperated cycle path, to slow the traffic and make it safe for cyclists.Cycleway:

135088Photo #135088Car park surface all along the sea front is very rough and hard to cycle on for less robust cyclists, buggies, wheelchair users and disabled using walking frames. A smooth path marked for pedestrians on one side and cyclists on the other would allow more residents who cannot brave the pebbles, to enjoy the sight of the sea. It is time to make space for all residents of Hayling to enjoy the beach, rather than just having miles of car parking spaces.Cycleway:

134928Photo #134928Traffic travels very fast despite the 30 limit which is not policed or controlled. Traffic exits the A27 at 80 mph then travels at 50 plus along this 30 mph road. The cycle lane on Southleigh Rd needs to be seperated by a kerb its a dangerous rd.Cycleway:

120450Photo #120450The current cycle route is marked on the road (and fading). But there is a lot of room between property curtilage and the road to have segregated cycle and pedestrian dedicated paths.

119827Photo #119827The allocated cycle ways are fragmented. They are often short lengths requiring frequent crossing of roads. Designated cycle routes along roads are not clearly marked and frequently come to an abrupt end requiring cyclists to continue along often narrow sections where it is difficult for cars to pass. Has anyone tried cycling from Sainsburys to the new Berewood estate.Cycleway:

119768Photo #119768The already existing shared cycleway/pavement is not fit for purpose as it cannot accommodate 2 way traffic of cycles and people.
